JIMIL LINTON COMEDY
ABOUT
Jimil Linton is a fresh face to the California comedy scene. Though new, she has been aggressive with her writing and stage time— performing at various open mics and shows throughout Central and Southern CA. Jimil has been a featured comic at many shows from Fresno down to Los Angeles. She is best known for her memorable storytelling and blindsiding humor.
Jimil is from the Central Coast and was introduced to stand-up comedy in late September 2023 after attending an open mic as a singer-songwriter. She noticed that a majority of the performers were stand-up comedians and became interested— and now, fully immersed into the craft.
Though new, Jimil has gained some credibility. She was selected to participate in the 2024 Comedy Chateau International Comedy Festival and was identified as part of the Top 14 in the "Best of the Fest". In July 2024, Jimil was selected as the Top 10 amongst a pool of 40 comedians to participate in the Selma Comedy Competition and won 3rd place. Her other credits include: Flappers, The Well Comedy Club, HaHa Comedy Club, and Fourth Wall Comedy.
In addition to comedy, Jimil is a singer-songwriter. Her music can be found on Spotify and other streaming platforms such as SoundCloud, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc. She goes by the artist name of Jimil-Anne. Jimil incorporates her musical talents into some of her stand-up comedy, and has a set dedicated specifically to Musical Comedy. Her song "Awkward" is part of this set.
